The gardens were restored with historic sensitivity, preserving plants and trees placed by descendants of the early occupants of the house. Ancient plum and sycamore trees flank a lion's head fountain and raised beds surrounding walking areas paved with limestone and handmade grey brick. The setting is quiet and restful.
